I've had brown spotting now for five days! I'm tired of this and was hoping it meant my period was coming. I can ttc again as soon as I get a period so I feel like I'm not moving forward right now. (Though the RE did say a "normal" period and I don't meet with her until next week to discuss a plan).

Has anyone else here had days of brown spotting when you were expecting your period? I'm a bit too experienced in miscarriages but I never had more than one or two days of brown spotting before my period came then, if that.

After my miscarriage with ~Emma~, I thought I was actually going to start when I started brown spotting, but it wasn't. I brown spotted for alittle over a month. I finally ended up taking Provera, and it seemed to help.

I hope things get straighten out and you stop the brown spotting and get your cycle back soon.

i have only had it happen once...3 mos ago. i had 5 days of brown spotting about a week before my period was due...then a heavy 6 days of bleeding..then a few more days of brown spotting.

all in all it was about 2- 2.5 weeks of spotting bleeding spotting. they have given no explanation to me. had a complete hormonal blood workover done. found nothing abnormal.

i took a few pg tests at the time because i wondered whether or not it was an early miscarriage...they all came back negative. still, i wonder whether there was a chemical pregnancy that i just missed on the days that i tested.

that is the only real explanation i have for what went on in feb. after that , i had a regular 31 day cycle in march and then a 35 day cycle in april.?

my periods are crap anyway.

i know how frustrating not know ing can be though. weird health stuff ahs been going on with me for a year now and still no real definitive answers. sigh.

hugs to you kohlby.

That's not the answer I was looking for! Helpful, but not what I wanted to hear! I have an appointment with the RE on Tuesday to discuss the plan for next time so I'll mention it to her then. I'm only 5.5 weeks post-miscarriage, so it's not time for Provera yet. I just want to start ttc again! Plus, I get so sick when pg that it's hard to make summer plans until I know where I might be in my cycle in case I'm sick.

Smoochy- Any miscarriage I had that had any brown spotting went into full blown red bleeding fairly quickly. I do tend to have 2-3 days of brown spotting at the end of every period usually, but not before. (I have heard that brown spotting at the end of a period is normal but before a period for more than a day or two can be a sign of low progesterone. I'm not worried about that since I do have a reason for a whacky cycle! I'm positive I'm not currently pregnant too. So, just waiting it out I guess! I hope it turns to a real period soon!

No change - still a little tiny bit of brown spotting every day. It's been well over a week now. I see my RE tomorrow to discuss a ttc plan so I'll ask her about this.

Looks like we may be cycle buddies then! I'm 13DPO today. Good luck with your appointment tomorrow.

Not if you're pg! Also, I now don't feel like my period is about to come. And I had no spotting yesterday. I'm wondering if my period was "supposed" to come then but I just go brown spotting and will have to wait four more weeks for a real period. I'm so tempted to start "not trying but not not trying" in a couple weeks if there's no change. I figure I see the RE today so at least there will be a plan. Though, I also know given my history, she's not going to like this idea. Sigh. Waiting to ttc is more stressful than ttc for me!
