I'm a mother of 4, nursed all of them. My youngest and only boy is now 15 months and is now officially the one I have nursed the longest since I have not gotten pregnant again. He's starting to yank my shirt up anytime he wants me to nurse him and it's getting pretty consistent. I think he's using me as more of a comfort than actual food and I'm considering weening because of it. I know at this age he's still young enough that nursing is beneficial, however I can imagine if he's screaming at me now, it's only going to get harder to wean later. Any suggestions?

He's the boss! At least my youngest thinks so!
At this age, nursing is alot more than "food" it is comfort, security, and most of all, mommy. Abruptly weaning is not the answer - try distracting him - staying calm - and within a few minutes he will be interested in something else
