I'am a mother of 3 children and breastfed my oldest 2 for 2 years, but my last child has got them beat. She will be 3 May 6 and at this point it pretty much is a security blanket for her. She still eats on demand or through the biggest fit if I even suggest that shes to big or no. I have tried the bandages to cover them up and the no bite fingernail polish for biting nails, but shes at the age where that doesn't work cause shes old enough to just tell me wash them or take it off. I can't do it anymore and need any helpful suggestions or tricks to wean her. thanks so much jennifer

Distraction, distraction.......or tell her only at night. Set limits.
It is easier to give in than to stick to your rule, that's for sure.
Once at night will still give her all the amazing immunological factors, and will also help her unwind.

thanks I have tried that and it is easier just to hush her up and give it to her. I thought I had her almost broke and then at the same time got a part time job which she did not approve of, so I gave in one night when coming home and she was in tears from me being at work. I have tried to tell her only at nap or bedtime and her response all day is I'm tried or sleepy I need to go to bed just so she can get boobie as she calls it. I guess there is no simple solution to my problem besides alot of tears and screaming hers and mine.

Try to remain calm. She really needs reassurance if, all of a sudden, you have a new job and apart from her.
She won't be nursing when she walks down the aisle!
