Anyone have plans? I've a DD with a band contest Saturday (stupid bus leaves at 6.15 AM!), and a confirmation and a girl scouts awards thing on Sunday. Other than that, staying home, relaxing, and cleaning.
Here's the question of the day: How did you meet your DH/SO? (if, of course, you have one)
Farmer Red and I met on a blind date. A year later we were engaged, a year after that married, and now, 13.5 years later, we have 4 kidlets. I'll gloss right over the living together/breaking up/getting back together stuff. :D

me too! DH and I are high school sweethearts. We dated for a total of about 6 years. We had a 2 year break somewhere in the middle. Got married 2 1/2 years ago.
Weekend plans......yard work, clean house, the usual. I'm having dinner with my 2 bestfriends tomorrow evening and then church on Sunday. We may go visit some family on Sunday also.

DH and I met on match.com almost 6yrs ago. Dated 3yrs, he proposed to me at the Tx Rangers Game (pretty cool and embarrasing) 2 1/2 yrs ago, had a beautiful wedding and made a baby on our 1yr anni :)
This weekend: Going to the mall, gotta gift card to baby gap...goin to spend that on a cute little outfit for DD. Free breakfast Sat. morning (1st Sat. of every mo. our apartment complex does this)...So nice not to have to cook. Got a church function that night and DH has baseball games on Sunday...
Somewhere in there we gotta find time to clean house.

I knew my DH in high school. We hung out in the same crowds occassionally. Then we would run into each other off and on like 3-4 time over 5-6 years. At the mall, when I was on dates :-), I wrote to him when He was in Iraq a couple of times...then he came back we hung out as friends once. Then I called him a year later to hang out. I lived in NYC at the time and he in CT. That night we had sex. Suprised us both! He went off to flight school in Alabama 8 months later. I could not part from him so we moved to AL and got married by the Justice of the peace. It has been 2.5 years.
Plans: hanging out with my parents

No plans really. I have a photo shoot in about *looks at clock* 1 hour or so. I am feeling a little undereducated in the photog business right now, I have so much to learn, and I am feeling like my work is not standing out...oops how's I get off on that LOL!
Other than that, it is supper at home hotdogs. Yes we are eating unhealthy food tonight since I drove 3 hours to buy DD a "safe" hotdog!
How did I meet DH. Here we go. I have known of him my whole life, jsut kind of seen him around here and there, stuff like that. When I was a freshman he was "dating" a friend of mine, she was cheating on him, and I told him, and snagged him on the process. LOL. Who knew I was such a little stinker? The next weekend we went frog giggin' together, our very 1st "date" even though the other girl was with us, with another guy. I stole a kiss (more like a peck) from him, and the rest is history! that was 11 years ago.

What is frog giggin?
DH is out tonight, so it's just DS and I. I'm trying to get him to pick up the clothes he tossed from the basket and then it's dinner time.
Tomorrow I have an eye appt and then the in-laws are coming for dinner. Grocery shopping sometime in-between. Oh, and we should probably clean for company... Hoping sunday is nice so we can get outside and also hang clothes on the line.
I don't remember meeting my DH. We actually knew each other because my sister married his brother. We were kind of periferal (sp) people in each others lives until one day I walked into his parents house (which is our house now for six years!) and he was sitting in the living room and I thought "he has a beautiful smile". That was about six months before I made a move.
The "move" came on my 21st birthday when I was out partying (with my mom!) and he had cut out of work early. I was wasted walked up to him and told him he was buying me a drink. We chatted for a while and at one point he leaned in to hear what I was saying and I kissed him. I don't think we stopped kissing for two months after that! I've never been told to get room so much in my life.

Not much. Clean house and work in garden. We are growing vegetables for the first time, so it is like having new babies. Ds is spending the night with his grandparents, so dd will wander around not knowing what to do with herself with out her "daddy" (she calls both brother and daddy that).
Dh and I met at a church event. Nothing too exciting. We were engaged 6 months later, and married 6 months after that.

Mrs C, Frog giggin' is, um, how do I put this nicely...hunting for frogs, with a gig. You gig them, and walla, you have frog legs for supper. Did I scare you away yet?

A few of us clueless people would like to know what you are talking about. Does it actually involve frogs?

Ok, you asked. Yes, it invloves frogs. It is like hunting in a way. You go out, at dark, and take a light, and what is called a gig (a big long pole or stick with prongs at the end of it, kind of like a small pitch fork) you shine your light on the frogs, and then you gig them, clean them, and have supper.
No slamming! 'Yall asked.;)

The weekend is over and it was a busy one.
Long story short about meeting DH.
It was my roommates 10 year high school reunion, she was class president and I helped her plan it. She didn't have a date and invited me since I had worked so hard. Name tags had your Sr picture on it and to be funny (after a few drinks) I put on a guys tag (he wasn't there) I wore it for a while laughing at the "my you have changed jokes". Later on I saw a good looking guy searching for a name tag and offered to help. He said, rumor has it you were wearing it earlier and I knew exactly where it was ... We had our first dance that night and 17 months later danced in the same spot as husband and wife.
DH decided to come at the last minute and didn't have a date (thank goodness

So, the weekend is now over:(
We cleaned around the house. Did laundry and hung it out, cleaned the garage and basement. We are getting ready to gut the basement and refinish it to make 2 bedrooms, a family room and a bathroom.
DH & I met in a bar in my hometown 9yrs ago. I was out with my friends and he was in town teaching a motocycle safety class. My friend & I were huge fans of Harley-Davidsons, so I asked him to dance and the rest is history.
DH gets a big head when I tell this story though, so I change it to say that my friends & I felt sorry for him being there all by himself and decided that one of us should ask him to dance. We picked straws & I got the short straw, so I had to ask him:)
We moved in 1 month later and have been married for just over 4 yrs. DD is 2 1/2 and DS is 9 months.

My weekend was ok. My grandmother was taken to the hospital on friday. I watched my niece on Saturday and Sunday, in turn my sister (Terry) watched my son so DH and I could go see Iron man on Saturday. Went church and to niece's soccer game on Sunday and slept on Sunday evening.
My sister (Mary) had started to see a guy from church. He had a brother that he was trying to get to go to church but little brother wanted to sleep in as much as possible. One day my sister was planning on hanging out with her guy and invited me to tag along because I didn't have anything else to do. Well little brother came over also to hang out and that is How I met DH. So my sister and I are now married to brothers. The interesting part of the story is that Mary and her DH were married two months before me and my DH were married and this year Mary is expecting her first child two months after I gave birth to my DS.
