i have 2 oz of fresh milk from today, can i combine it in a bottle w/ 2 oz frozen to make a meal for DS later this evening? thanks!

I have done it with ds, but only because I knew exactly how much he ate, he was a very consistent eater.

I wouldn't do it, if your ds has bottle habits that aren't predictable or consistent. If that is the case, just use 2 bottles. Offer the frozen first because it will go bad, then offer the fresh.

You can but make sure it cools first. Like PP said I would just keep it in 2 bottles, so that none goes to waste.

You can't add fresh from the tap to a bottle that is already frozen. The milk needs to be the same temperature so what you need to do, is start with increments in the fridge. When you pump more, store it in a separate container in the fridge. The next day, they will be the same temperature and can be added together at that point. They can be mixed and frozen together.

You shouldn't pour unfrozen milk into a container with frozen milk. If you are going to use it this evening, refrigerate the newest portion. Defrost and use the frozen milk first. Then, if needed, you can always warm the new milk;-)
