Could I pump wean and still maintain enough for my dd who is 7 1/2 mo old? The school year is getting CRAZY hectic and, while my dd is such a priority for me, so is my job (and doing my best at both). I pump once per day now. I want to continue to breast feed for a year but do not want to pump anymore this school year! right now she nurses like a champ before we leave, as soon as we get home, one light "snort" before her dinner and then one nip before bed. she only eats about 5-6 ounces at daycare. any comments? she also has 2 ounces of cereal in the am (mixed with bm) so can I hang up the horns for the spring or will I damage my milk supply?

Honestly, if you're just pumping once a day, I'd keep doing it. That session helps to keep telling your bod that Mackenzie still needs the milk. :)
And a big *high five* to you, sugar! Though it's a pain in the arse, Mackenzie sure appreciates the hard work you do for her. :D

I agree, just keep telling yourself you just have about a month to hold out. You can do it, it is just a little bit longer.
Building supply back up can be hard work, it is much easier (although annoying) to keep pumping once a day.

thanks all for your support... I guess if I only have to miss one or 2 days it will be easier to make up for that lost time than to let go of the mid day pump and have to build a whole bunch back later. anyway, thanks

Hang in there, sugar!
