Update: Just back from the LC appointment....

and she has referred us to a physical therapist. So, hopefully, that will help. She evaluated us and said that she thinks something more is going on than just a bad latch, that he is too tense. And he gagged on her finger even though she didn't push it very far back into his mouth. So, we will be making an appointment and hopefully getting in sometime this week with the pt. I'm looking forward to it. I am hoping to get to the bottom this soon, and in the meanwhile, we keep trying to get the latch correct and praying!

I'm glad your appt went well. I was thinking about you today and wondering what the LC would have to say. I'm sorry to hear the problem may not be so easy to correct, but hopefully the PT can provide more insight into what is going on with your DS. Perhaps he/she will recommend the CST that Gyspy posted about.

Whatever the means, I truly hope you get the outcome you are hoping for. In the mean time, just keep hangin' in there momma. You're doing great :)
