i have a 9 month old , whos is suddenly refusing to nurse. He is usually a very good eater, and he LOVES to breastfeed normally. he does have a head cold- I have given him decongestant for his stuffiness thinking that was why he was not wanting to nurse. But , he just cries and arches away when i try to nurse him. He also just before this , has started to kick his feet and try to climb off of my lap while he is latched on.

Baby aerobics! Just be patient, keep your milk supply up, offer him the breast, don't get into a tug of war with him and see what happens in 48 hours. Does he eat solids? I am pretty sure he will come back to the breast, he is just testing the waters!!! He is 9 months which is like 10 years old to him, he may be feeling quite brave and ready to explore!

he does eat solids. but is still usually nursing 4 -5 times a day. he is quite brave, I didn't think of that. I hope he gets back on, I am sore. ;( thank you.

You can do some pumping to KEEP your supply up so when he wants your breast again, there will be lots of milk and he will remember how cool BFing is!
I asked about the solids because at least you know he is getting some food!
