Well, he is gaining 1/2 ounce a day wich is acceptable. He has gained FOUR pounds since birth. Is there something else going on that would make you feel this isn't enough weight? Is he reaching all of his milestones?

milestones are good, he's giving me dipes. His poos have been very frequent and not yellow and seedy (i posted about this before not sure if it was w/ u or not)more brown and slimey (TMI sorry).

also, im the first breastfeeder in a long line of formula feeders so I hear alot of "no way hes' getting enough, no way he's full, if he's pooing right after a feed ect ect. so i just wanted to be certain. tho I know breastmilk is best for him! thanks~

He sounds great to me! All truly healthy humans would poop after every meal if they could. Some babies do not have yellow poops. Does he stay a long time on each side? Remember this: The emptier the breast, the higher the fat content of the milk. So if he feed L, R and is then still hungry, put him to the emptiest breast because that is where the fatty milk will be!
How is his disposition? Is he happy? Does he cry a lot?
Well meaning family are such a pain!!! Just smile and remind them they too would have breastfed if they had known what you know!!!

:) A poster here reccomended feeding only one side at a feed if i could so ive been trying to do that. He is fussy sometimes, but i don't think its being hungry...usually if he's nursing he's happy. If he's nursed and is super fussy i may offer bottle but he usually gets too full and spits it up.

im sure im worried about nothing, 4lbs in 3 months is good

If feeding one side only does not work for you, don't do it. If it does work do it. Breastfeeding is very unique. There is no 'one size fits all' that is why I have a job :-)
