My son is 8 months old and i am wanting to wean him..its not that i dont want to breastfeed its just that its not what works best for us right now... my question is should i try and wean him or should i just switch to formula and if so what is your opinion on a formula that would be best for him..thank you

I would introduce it gradually.
I would also ask your pediatrician what he/she recommends.

How do i introduce it gradually??
I dont really want to ask my pediatrician because i think that he is kinda old fashion and
doesnt really care what type i use

Offer the breast then perhaps an ounce in a bottle.
Maybe find a new pediatrician as well :)

reduce your nursing sessions slowly - begin with the one in the middle of the day - then 3 days later, eliminate one after that one, 3 days later, one session before the middle of the day one.
If you feel full, pump for only 4-5 minutes to reduce fullness, not a full pumping session.
