Hi... I did some reading and thought that I had overactive letdown because my 2mo daughter spits up quite a bit and has bad reflux. She also would sometimes cry and stop nursing after about 5 mins. Also, I have a painful letdown which caused me to leak on the non-nursing breast and was able to pump quite a bit just after nursing dd.

So, I stopped pumping everyday and started block feeding. Well, I noticed that when I need to pump, I'm getting a lot and there seems to be a lot more hindmilk. I'm afraid that I'm decreasing my supply too much! So, I've stopped the block feeding and started pumping again daily. Should I have done that? How can I get my milk back to a normal level?

She will be 12 wks tomorrow. Born 9lbs 2oz and when I took her to the dr 2wks ago she was 14lbs 1oz. She actually spit up blood the day before I took her in. She's been on meds for reflux since about 3wks. I changed how I fed her about a wk and a half ago.

Before...I was pumping about 8oz...now I can barely get 4oz. They're still yellow.

I don't think I'm following why you are pumping.

4 ounces per pumping is a lot.

Most women produce anywhere from 24-32 ounces per 24 hours.
