I am the mom of a 5 day old baby boy. I am beginning to question if he is getting enough milk. He is having wet diapers and at least 2 BM diapers a day. This is why I am concerned. First of all, I am still having pain when he latches on, he prefers one breast over the other and his meals are close together. Sometimes he can go 2 hours and sometimes only 1 hour. He acts like he is starving sometimes. With my daughter I remember my breast leaking which they are not doing at this time. They do feel full and are less full when he is finished. I have started to pump but not much success with that. On one breast it took me to 10-15 minutes to express 2 ounces and on the other breast I get nothing, but can express some when squezzed. We are going tomorrow for a weight check so I guess that will answer my question. I was just writing to see if you can give me any advice. Thank you so much.
P.S. My baby will also latch on and then pull off and then seems to have a hard time finding the perfect latch when I try to place him back on. Don't know?
