heartburn

I have the worst heartburn and tums just doesn't help as much as I need it. Anything else I can take? I am nursing and pregnant just to be safe with what it is. thanks.

When I was pregnant my dr recommended gaviscon and mylanta. I'm not sure if they are safe while bf, but they were ok while pregnant.

I feel for you. My heartburn has been terrible this time. This baby better have a head full of hair.

I have dealt with heartburn before too. Vinegar helps mine. Just take a tablespoon or so. Tastes horrid but it works for me, which no other med, OTC or Rx, did.

Mylanta. that is great to use and i assume if its safe to take while preggo its safe to take while bfing.

mylanta worked well for me - so did drinking a small glass of cold milk slowly. Ultimately, I had to find a way to sit down and eat small meals - not always handy when chasing after a toddler. Have you looked at what you are eating? Tomatoes and oranges tended to trigger the worst attacks, so I had to monitor how much of those foods I ate.
