Hello Ladies~
The time has come. I am going in to have my c-section early wednesday morning. So for all of you praying mommies, I would really appreciate your prayers.
Prayer Request:
1. This is my husband's first time going in, so pray that this would be a wonderful experience for him.
2. A fast and safe delivery for me and the baby!
3. A speedy recovery with minimal pain.
4. A strong latch and also that my milk would come in quickly ( it has taken up to 7 days in the past)
5. Continual confidence in my ability to breastfeed!
6. Pray against jaundice, both of my other babies had it and it just made our breastfeeding relationship that much harder.
Thank you ladies, you all have been wonderful and I really appreciate all of your words of encouragement. I look forward to posting pictures soon of my sweet little Lila!!

You can do it, sugar! I'll be thinking of you and praying for all of you. :)
It's funny......my oldest 3 all had jaundice issues and my 4th did not---I was so shocked, as I had already dealt with it for all of my previous kids. So you just never can tell!

No lie...I was just thinking about you this morning!! I was wondering if you had your baby yet or not. WOW weds. I will def. keep you in my prayers for those things you listed and more.
You sound prepared for anything and that alone should help you with any complications that may arise. I know the frustration of waiting so long for your milk to come in. It took mine 9 days! You can do this and I think you'll do just fine.
Keep us updated and of course post pics when you can. I'll be thinking of you!

Thank you sweet ladies! I completely rely on the Lord and know that He is able to meet these requests and so many more! I am actually in awe of His great love for me and for my family. I look forward to seeing her sweet little face, secretly hoping she looks like me. Both of my other two children look like my husband, so it would be nice to have one that looks like me. Whatever she looks like, she will be beautiful to us and to Him!!

I hope everything goes well :). The best way to avoid jaundice is to nurse early and as often as you can (every hour while the baby is awake if the baby is amenable).

First off, I just have to say I LOVE the name Lila! Have you had a c-section before? (sorry if you mentioned it, but I didn't see it). If so, at least you know what to expect. I am having my third in December and even though I know what to expect it is still nerve-wracking at times. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers! (and your family too!) I think your DH will be fine - at least mine was, he didn't even really get to see anything because they had a drape over my stomach on down. I really just wish he could have taken pictures. That is my biggest complaint - LOL - stupid, huh?

Thank you so much! Lila is my grandomother's name and she has been in a nursing home for quite some time, so when we found out we were having a girl it just fit. This is my third c-section so I should be a pro by now, but it's still a little uneasy knowing you're going under the knife again. My sweet hubby is so excited, he has been watching c-sections online trying to prepare himself. He got teary eyed when he heard those babies cry for the first time, so I am so excited that he gets to experience that with his very own. I think he is going to try and peek over when they are pulling her out, but we'll have to see how he's feeling when we get in there.

I've had two c-sections and my dh watched the surgery both times. I will keep you and your family in my prayers - can't wait to see pics of your newest family member. I love the name also!

Thank you all so much for your sweet words of encouragement! I can not believe she will be here in less than 24 hours. Hopefully I will be able to get some sleep tonight, but I will probably be way too excited. I will keep everyone posted on what happens!

Good luck to you and yours! To try and get the milk to come in faster, get them to bring you a hospital grade pump and pump immediately after a nursing session. Nurse every 2 hours at the longest gap.
I found that the scheduled section recovery was so much easier than the emergency one I had with my first daughter, so I hope that you have an easy time with this one!

The captain is right, pumping after every session until your milk comes in is an excellent way to bring it in quickest!

Good luck and we'll keep you and your family in our thoughts. I too agree w/pumping and I also took a box of Oatmeal on the Go bars w/me and ate them non-stop. Don't know if the Oatmeal really did work (milk was in 3 days, also scheduled section) but it was also nice to have a midnight snack at my fingertips.

Thank you ladies! We are supposed to be there at 5:30 a.m. to prep, so I am sure we will not get much sleep tonight. I have packed some oat and honey granola bars to snack on while I am there, so hopefully I'll be ok. I can't wait to meet our sweet little girl!
