My dd is 4 1/2 mos. old and cries a lot when nursing. This has been going on for several months. At first I had plenty of milk and then I had a big decrease, so last week I started nursing every 2 hours to increase supply. Now I think I have plenty, but she doesn't come off the breast often and cries so I have to keep doing the super switch until finally she just won't take either side. Ugh! Any advice?

I'm a little confused. Do you nurse her before she's crying from hunger? Does she nurse from one side and then cry so then you switch sides? If she's crying a lot when nursing she's getting herself pretty gassy which is going to hurt and lead to more crying. How much does she nurse? Do you nurse on demand? How long does she stay at one breast? How is her growth? How many diapers does she have in a day? Does she ever get anything other than breastmilk? Does she get ebm in a bottle ever or is she always nursed from the breast?
