Sign of teething??? Tongue sticking out.....

My little man is 5 1/2 months old. He has started this new thing: he sticks out his tongue and leaves it between his top and bottom gums. Is he teething? It is becoming more and more frequent over the last couple of days. It looks sort of weird. Has anyone else experienced this?

DS will tongue whatever area where new teeth are coming in. I am sure that sticking his tongue out is much the same. Maybe he is rubbing a different part of the top of his tongue to his new teeth. It must be cute and funny to see :)
