Ok, here is my situation; My little guy is almost 3 months old and I have been back to work since he was 8 weeks old. I pump at work and he is bottle fed at home. He seems to be getting plenty either way, so that's not my problems. My problem is he spits up a lot when he nurses. Hubby says he barley spits up when he has the bottle. He doesn't seem to be in any pain when he spits up, he giggles as he does it and as I wipe his month. He seems to be gaining plenty of weight and has lots of wet and poopie diapers. I'm just wondering why this is happening. Does he over eat when he nurses because he doesn't get it all the time? He didn't start this until I went back to work. Dr gave us med for acid reflux (with no tests and minimal questions about what is going one), but he throws that up as soon as I give it to him and screams, so I stopped. Any advice or thoughts on this would be GREATLY appreciated!

If he's not having any problems with the spitting, like pain or irritation, I'd call that a laundry issue. ;) He's gaining well, lots of diapers, so you're good there.

Does he spit and sputter when you have letdown? If so, you could simply have an overactive letdown. See linky: overactive letdown (http://www.kellymom.com/bf/supply/fast-letdown.html)

Read that link and see if any of it describes your situation.

But, it could just be that he's a spitter. :D

ITA with Red. My ds did the same thing. He was fine with bottles, but when I nurse him, he'd spit it all back up. Turns out I have OALD.
