So, my coworker and I have started a summer challenge. 3 months- $300. Winner takes all. Based on % body fat lost. Any tips? I'm doing the 6 meals and have started eating more protein. I bought some resistance bands to work out at home (once ds goes to sleep)

I figured, I could treat myself to a shopping spree with the winnings! (it's not much but hey! I can still get a few items!)

It's summer...my advice is to eat as many food in their natural state as possible...fruits, veggies, etc.

Good luck!

My best advice is eat when your hungry and drink tons of water, whole grains can be your best friend. Also get in at least 30 minutes of cardio a day in addition to your strength training.
Good luck!

Have you ever read the book, "Strong Women Stay Slim."

I love that book. There are several of them, the first being 'Strong Woman Stay Young' I think.

Check them all out. If there are exercises you aren't crazy about in one of them you can just do the ones from one of the other ones!!! It's strength training stuff. Makes a ton of sense.

Thanks everybody!
I have one more question: Is it safe to drink protein shakes? My friend recommended Optimum Nutrition Natural Whey-

I don't have much experience with protein shakes, especially homemade ones, but I'm addicted to the Special K Protein Water.

Stay away from sweets, no snacking and no refills.

Fill up on water before each meal, at least 8oz-16 oz of water before each meal.

Always have sugar free gum handy.

Increase your protein intake it will keep you fuller longer.

Good luck loosing weight is not easy!
