So there are cop cars up and down my street. They are walking the sidewalks with thier dogs and shining flashlights into yards and houses. Apparently looking for someone. I have gone around the house now about 4 times making sure we are locked up as tight as can be. So much for a good night's sleep :(

Crap. I would ask a passing po-po what the hell is going on.

I would ask too..At least if you knew they caught the person, you could sleep better tonight. Even if they did not, maybe they will be cruising the neighborhood for the rest of the night. EEEEK!

Not to leap all over you Nikki, but that's a bit offensive don't you think, Nikki? I can't imagine what joshsmom's DH would say if I referred to him as a po-po. What is this a rap video?

Perhaps adding a little lightness to a scary situation?

Do you know what went on now? Update?

Yeah, that would bother me, too. I hope you were able to get some rest.

Meh. Most cops I know are used to it (and I know a few and am related to one) and aren't offended.

Jen, I'm glad you're okay.

As for the rest, my friends who are cops (perhaps offensive to some, too?) laugh at terms like "po-po."

Sooo, the cops stayed around until about 130 or so. DH did go out and ask what was going on. They just said they were combing the neighborhood and to please go inside. We do live across the street from an urgency care clinic that has a pysch ward, so we see some intersting folks wondering around from time to time, maybe something to do with that, who knows. I stayed up til about 230 when I was satisfied there was no one lurking in my basement. I'll watch the news tonight and see of they say anything about it.
