K I Know these are known as cheap but today i got the first new pair of jeans (other than maternity) since DD was born!
Riders "slimming" something...straight leg, a lil higher waisted. Dh loved them said they looked great.
anyone else tried them?
also, those of you a lil more generous in the waist, what cut of jeans do you normally wear??

I'm glad you feel beautiful in your new britches! That is a great feeling you don't have to spend a lot of $$$ for.

Do YOU like them? That's the question. :)
My waist is classically my problem area. I am also a very short torso gal, so I have legs, but not a lot of torso. So, a mid-rise works well for me, as most pants have too high of a rise for me. But, I also cannot do a low low rise, too much shit hanging over the top edge!
Right now, I'm a fan of the low rise Levi (not terribly low IMO) and a cut at Old Navy. I used to wear their 'just below the waist' but they've changed now and I think the one I like is the Flirt. There's another there, Sweetheart, IIRC, that's a bit higher in the waist.

Glad you got some you like! I like a mid rise as well. I do have one pair that is pretty low in the waist and for whatever reason it doesn't look bad even with a fitted shirt. They're somehow..magical traveling jeasns LOL

K i was just wondering. I have all my xtra weight (i gained 100 lbs w/ my first preg, to nearly DOUBLE my weight) in the tummy area. Normally Im a low rise girl but im thinking those days are gone...perhaps a bit too much to "tuck in" anymore LOL. thanks for the input. I'm excited to do more shopping, just have to wait til ive got more time!

I have a HUGE waist. I generally have to try on a bazillion pair of jeans to find one pair that fit properly.
I have a lot of jeans and have several brands, including:
Levi's (2 pair)
L.E.I.
FRX
Gap
Stamp 10 (Kohl's)
Maurices
Deluxe Premium Denim
I don't have any, but Nine West jeans usually fit me pretty well.
