So, I'm upstairs doing some work and I hear my kids screaming, "a snake", they were ringing the doorbell. Now, on our front porch is a rubber snake, so, I'm really not paying any attention to them, figuring they were just playing. DH is outside doing yard work.
They persist, so I go out to the garage, in my pajamas. They say the snake is under my car, ok, ha, ha, I'm prepared for the joke.
I look under my Explorer and see the tail of a black snake disappearing into the underpart of my vehicle. What the hell am I supposed to do with this?? DH backs the car out of the garage, I'm spraying water under my car, I throw the fake snake under the car, hoping for a love (or hate) connection, whatever would get it out of my car.
We take down the spare tire, still, no snake.
DH drives it around the block, he says it fell out, swore on the Bible.
I wish I'd never watched the movie snakes on a plane!

Okay, so that made me shudder. I'd drive his car and have him drive mine for a bit. :D
How does he know it fell out? Not to freak you out, but that could of been it's mate....

He said that he saw it come out - a six foot black snake. I'd already thought that it's laid eggs in my car. How much time do I have before they hatch?
Luckily, we don't have (many) poisonous snakes in my state. I'm never moving to the southwest.

The gestation period depends on what kind of snake it is.
http://pls.atu.edu/biology/people/elovely/indexsn.htm
The Snakes…
Snakes are a bit on the defensive here because they can only produce between 5 to 10 in every litter, This will happen approximately once a year. The gestation period is between 4 to 6 months. And the eggs must be incubated for at least 2 months. Breeding will typically take place only in late spring.

Yep, that vehicle would have a 'For Sale' sign in it immediately!!!
There is NO WAY I would be able to drive that vehicle again.
My husband is really mean and won't let me sell the house...fortunately the only snakes have been in the basement, but I STILL want to sell it!!!
A vehicle...forget about it...not a chance I'd ever drive it again.
And I wouldn't even watch the COMMERCIALS for "Snakes on a Plane"...I knew I'd never sleep again if I did.

Shit, screw the car, you need to move out of that house too.
I'd piss myself if I saw a snake in my house. PISS.
And maybe you can set off a bug bomb or something under your car? If it doesn't blow it up, maybe it will kill the snake(s).
Either way you'd be rid of them.

Oh hell no! Why is that first black ugly thing so bumpy? I'd take your car to a detail shop and have then go over it, or I'd run it the fuck over a cliff. I hate hate hate snakes! I once ran over one with a riding lawn mower and it's freaking head shot back at me. Oh god, now I'm having a PTSD moment just remembering.

Oh, and when my husband was remodeling the upstairs (UPSTAIRS!!!) bathroom he ripped up the floor and found a snakeskin from a three foot long snake.
Why did I bring that up? Thank goodness I've showered already today...I'm freaking myself out.

Aww. I'm glad you don't have the snakes we deal with out here. Our neighborhood is over run with Rattle Snakes. My neighbor has taken the heads off of 7 babies last week.
This is what I like to see. Blow snakes!!

Oh my word, I HATE SNAKES!! I wonder if that bug bomb idea would work for snake eggs...not saying there is any...but you never know!
I have been coming across several snakes lately on the trail I run on; one of the snakes was a HUGE rattle snake. I gave that big boy plenty of room to cross the trail before I SPRINTED by! It took me a few days to get back on the trail.
I also saw one on the road one day.

Last year while trying to decide whether to rehome (over the fence into the woods) or kill the small snake (if it were poisonous), ds told me something he apparently learned in school - "If you kill it, you have to eat it."
