If money isn't an issue, I would order five outfits each so that I didn't have to do laundry until the weekend.

What pants, dress, skirt ratio would you shoot for?

I had 2 skirts, 3 pairs of pants, 3 long sleeve shirts, 3 short sleeve and two sweaters. It helped me get through a week and I had a good combo for weather changes.

So far the skirts I got for my DD look like this

I also got her some navy shorts and a navy jumper. I have to get her some navy pants and some tops.

I prefer getting all the bottoms in navy because it's a dark color.

great. I just noticed that pants aren't even an option for the girls.

There are no girls' pants?! That sucks! I forget where you live, Nikki- do you have cold winters?

My dd has a choice of blue or tan shorts, pants, or skorts. She only likes the tan pants. I'd go for 5 tops and 5 bottoms.

It's cold a lot. There are thick stockings, but no pants.

I went to Goodwill and bought all of my dd's pants, short, and jumpers. Then I went and bought 5 shirts from a regular store. It made it a lot cheaper. Thrift store usually get a ton of uniforms this time of year and since they have only been worn for one year most are still in good shape.

We are required to go through a specific company to order and I'll be getting the 'laundry bundle' it is 5 outfits for 200 or so bucks.

I bought DD 5 outfits. The school has a swap day a couple weeks before the school year. It is a GREAT way to save money. The uniforms are very well made so they last year after year.

We are only allowed to buy certain brands for the jumpers- the shirts underneath are a get what you want in white with a collar deal. I buy those on sale when i find them.

Well, that seems kind of wrong. Why can't girls wear pants?

Are the girls going to a religious private school?

Nikki, what do you mean they don't have them? I see them in the link.

Oh, maybe you meant they aren't allowed to wear pants to school according to the school dress code. If so - Wow!

I have not had to deal w/ school uniforms, but I do like to have enough clothing to get my kids through the week w/ out having to do laundry.

DD is not allowed to wear pants. The girls can wear the uniform shorts, k4-1st wears a jumper and 2-8 wheres a skirt. In DD's case it is not a big deal, she doesn't like wearing pants. the girls are asked to wear shorts under there skirts-

I REALLY like that she has a uniform, see the post I just put about girls clothes, I am overwhelmed! LOL! Uniforms are SO easy.
A lot of the public schools around here have a "uniform" of allowed pants/skirt color and shirt color/ nothing brand specific. It is a good system IMHO.
