S/O 11 year old girls

...and 6 year old girls as well.

Ive been talking with SO about getting a nice package together for his girls birthdays, which are only about 2 weeks apart and soon arriving. What do girls this age like?

Nothing horribly expensive as we want to send more than one thing to each girl.

Were sending out a box this week with two diaries (which you can color the cover to your liking), two color wonder activity books, and a Nintendo DS carrying case. Lets see how they like those things.

I think that probably 11-year-olds wouldn't be so thrilled by color wonder books. My 6-year-old will occasionally play with them, but they're really too young for her.

Oh, and my 6-year-old does like:
~ Webkinz
~ beads to make necklaces
~ books
~ puzzles (100 pieces if they are easy, 60 if they are harder)
~ bandanas (I really don't know why, but she does!)
~ art stuff
~ Legos

When my girls were 11 they liked

* finger nail polish
* hair things
* CDs (but, you have to know what music she likes)
* smelly lotion
* earrings and other jewelry
* cool socks
* clothes or gift cards to clothes places
* scrap book stuff
*funky picture frames

ITA with chicka that the color wonder is for younger kids. I will say at 11 my girls would have been a little insulted if we gave one to them.

ROFL about the wonder color. After I bought them I thought about it a bit, which is why I didnt specify who they were to!

I remember as a kid I loved those art kits where you could make necklaces, pottery, tie dye shirts etc.

My 11-year old and I bought ourselves color wonder books once, we had fun with them, but I agree they generally aren't something you'd think to buy for an 11-year old. My 11-year old still plays on Webkinz some, she likes cds and money and makeup and clothes.

Gift Cards
New Clothes esp from Limited Too and the like
My oldest likes puzzle books
my youngest likes journal type books she can doodle in
They also both love the Naked Brothers Band
