The health of my family
That we want for nothing material

The first thing that came to me was my children. Then immediatley my husband.
Then I thought - ok my dad, my mom my brother. Then I realized that I really have lots of things I am grateful for. Off to write them down...:)

The first thing I thought of was rain because it helped cool today down.

My life. Every.single.thing.it.encompasses.

That we have a home to live in and food to eat.
That my children are healthy. I am also grateful to have a father who is always there for me.

My family.
Not having to use a net because my family could get malaria.
Not living in a country where men think that having sex with a virgin will cure aids.
Not living in a country where the woman is punished for rape.

that while we are no where rich we don't 'want'.

we have every thing we need... food, shelter, cothes we are not in need for anything. We both have supportive families that we get along with. Live in a great small town with no crime.... (the front page of our weekly newspaper is who is visiting in town! Love it!)...... so much more......

Then, a place to live and health insurance and having enough.

Well, I guess I'm more self centered, because the first thing I thought of was "I'm grateful to still be here"

Gratitude for my kids and my husband came second. :)

I'm grateful to Canada for letting us in. We are so happy to be here.

I'm grateful that we have enough food, a nice home and friendly neighbors.

My family first of course...then more as I think about it. I'm grateful I live in a little town where everywhere I go I see someone I know. I know that could sound odd, but it's comforting to me.
I'm grateful that my 11 year old still let's me kiss him goodbye in front of his buddies:) I know that may not last too much longer....
