High is 74 and it's a little after 8 am and in the 50's. Our elevation keeps us cooler than the city which is supposed to be high of 80.

I want it to get warmer so the mountain lakes will get warmer. We won't hit regular 90 max temps until July and August though.

The weather station thingy on my deck says 100 degrees. Yesterday the "feels like" temp was 108. It was just gross.

Once it hits 80 it all feels the same. We are somewhere in the 90's.

Yesterday it hit 101 before the heat index. DS actually went to a birthday party that was held outside! Luckily, there was a waterslide involved. Today will likely be around 100 too. It's hot, but not that out of the ordinary here. I can remember heat indexes up to 120 hitting at some point in august every summer.

Some of you have winters when the weather is too bad to do much. Here, it's summer when we stay indoors more. It's a trade off. I can deal with the heat since I know how spoiled we are with our winters!

We hit 100, actual temp yesterday and are supposed to hit it again today. Everyday in the past week 75+ year old temp records were broken.

The weird thing is that at night when it goes down to 95, 90, it feels so much cooler.

It's just hard to comprehend that i'm enjoying the 90 degree days now, as cool days.

We're supposed to finally gets some storms later this week and the high is supposed to drop to 88-92ish.
