He is my Non food allergey child.

To make a long story short. After a bath and breakfast of eggs and turkey bacon this morning. DH pulled me out of the shower to a full body hived DS. They were everywhere except for his face, but mostly on his stomach and back. I gave benadryl and rushed him to urgent care (in his diaper only)

Needless to say, with DD's severe food allergies I was in panic mode. The urgent care Doc confirimed a allergice reaction to either his body wash (which we have used safely before) or eggs (which he has eaten safely before) She was great, and tottaly understood my reasons for being so overwhelmed and panicy.

Crap!

He does have alot of enviormenatal allergies including to some soaps and such. I am so praying this was the soap and not a developed allergy to the eggs. *cry*

Oh I am so sorry. I hope that it is the soap too. It is easier to get rid of a soap than to go through your foods making sure which one is safe or not. I hope that all gets better soon.

The benadryl really knocked him out, he is out of it. I keep going in a checking on him every few minutes, I can't help but be over paranoid about this.

I know you do. Thank you for your support. I am so holding out that it is just the soap. It almost makes me terrified to start TTC for fear of even more food allergies.

For the most part, we all eat the same at home, and eggs are a major staple since they are actually one of DD's safe foods.

I hope it's the soap. Lo gets hives from some sunscreens, so it's a possibility.

I am somebody that nearly every soap, perfume, heck even certain laundry detergents and dish soap can make me break out in hives, AND it does not have to be on the first exposure AND sometimes indgredents that are so minor to others can get changed without your notice and boom!! hives everywhere.

one other possibility if your ds had gone outside at all...you said after breakfast so I am not sure, is chiggers....that make me break out in full body hives very like a soap reaction.

I keep pushing this on everyone, but even if you find out that it's not the bodywash, I'd still avoid most bodywashes because they have so many allergens and chemicals in them. Consider trying California Baby Super Sensitive Shampoo & Bodywash (Fragrance Free).

Because of both childrens allergens and sensitive skin, we use All Clear and Free as a detergent. We also use vanicream as lotion, and normally for shampoo, but I had run out and when I ordered it, it did not come in so I had to re-order it, and had not picked it up, so I had just been using what was in the house. It could very well be that, although we had use it before (I know he could just now start reacting to it htough) I even use clinque make-up only because of my own skin sensitivies and any other make-ups broke both of my kids out when I touched them.

I'll check out the brand you suggested though, thank you. I thaink I have seen it at Whole foods.

You can also find it at Target.

I googled the Vanicream, and it looks interesting, too. Have you ever tried the Vanicream 35? If so, does it have a smell at all?

We have just used the plain Vanicream. I am not at home to look, but I don't think it is 35. It was reccomended by our allergist and it has no smell at all. Fragrance and paraban(sp) free.

I need a good sunscreen. I burn easily, yet I react to most sunscreens. I can't stand anything with a smell.
