Sore Throat Help

I've had a sore throat for the past 3 days, accompanied by a persistent headache. I've only taken some Tylenol, and sucked on some cough drops. Is there anything that I can take that won't effect my supply?

I always tell my moms to opt for ibuprofen over tylenol. it lasts longer, and reduces swelling as well, being an NSAID (non steroidal anti inflammatory)
I would also have a strep test at your doctor.
