Possible GTG in NYC near Thanksgiving?

So, DH and I will be in NYC for Thanksgiving if my uterus and cervix comply. (have travel insurance in case they don't). Anyone interested in a meetup? Possibly on Black Friday to do anything BUT shop?

Depending on my status, I'm DEFINITELY there! What fun! However, that's technically 2-3 weeks from my due date... I live about 30 minutes from NYC, right on the trainline, so if by some miracle I'm still pg, and on bedrest, I would be thrilled to host something at our place!

OMG - how much FUN would this be?! This gives me TWO things to look forward to later this holiday season!! :D

I got cleared to travel! Woo Hoo! Are we a go for Friday after Thanksgiving and are we just bothering La_Vaca for directions to her place? Should we have a backup location in case wee one decides to arrive while we're heading that way?

I was wondering if this was still on. I'm assuming this will be an "it's okay to bring your kids" event? Also, I'll likely be with my sister, who is a lurker and infrequent poster here.

Possibly bad news, guys. I may have to back out & I feel awful about this. I have to see the peri mid-day on Friday (the day after T-day) in order to make a determination about delivery - my appointment is at 11:30. I think it'd be a good idea to go ahead w/ a backup plan, just in case I wind up w/ a little one THAT DAY! ;) I don't think that'll happen, mind you, but the doctor's appointment alone may take up to 2-3 hours. I'm annoyed, but at the same time, I can't do much about it & have become very superstitious about watching what I wish for. Any other ideas?

ETA - it may still be possible for people to come visit/gather here in the afternoon - I'm just not sure what time & won't know until after I leave that peri appointment what the course of action is -- so if people are gathered somewhere, waiting anxiously for a phone call from me, I could still be released back home & possibly have the gathering here. I just won't know until that day. PM me; maybe we should exchange cell phone #'s & email addresses.
