i have a six week old who we recently found out had blood in his stool. his big sister has the following food allergies: dairy, egg, soy and peanut. my doctor told me to avoid these foods while breastfeeding our son to see if the blood goes away. his diapers are still green and full of mucous. could it be that there is not enough fat in my diet that is contributing to his stools still being green?

The green stools may be do to getting lots of milk and not as much as much fat. Try feeding off one breast for every feeding in a 4 hour block.
