Hello! I have a 8 week old little girl. I am having problems the last two days with her latching. First, I went back to work last week and I think that has thrown her off just a bit. I have been pumping every 3 hours and getting about 4 oz in the am then it goes down to about 2 oz by the afternoon (I have heard that is normal). She is getting this back in the day with bottles and some formula. I would like to get more breastmilk to her but I can't get more out when I am not at home for some reason. I can't take the mother's milk teas due to allergy. She in the last two days has stopped latching like she used to. Is it because she is getting the bottle now that I have gone back to work? She developed thrush and passed it on to me and we are both being treated could this be the problem? I know my nipples are flat could that be the problem? So many questions on this nursing thing, but its for the best for the little one I want to keep going. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Heather

I think it may likely be due to getting bottles and liking the faster flow and fast food dinner! The thrush may also be making her feel a little uncomfortable. Try Goats Rue for increasing milk supply. I don't think your nipples have anything to do with it.

She also seems to really like to only lay on one one side when she nurses. This is a new thing as well. I have started doing the normal latch on the left then just the football hold on the right so she is more comfortable. Does that matter?

The position does not matter as long as you are comfortable and she is happily drinking.
