Distracted Eater

I EPed for the first 4mo. for my DD (we had some nipple confusion/latching issues). However, I got her back to the breast (YAY!!) at around 4mo. She has always been (since 4mo.) a distracted nurser (she 7 1/2mo. now) and still is.

Typically how long does this "distracted eater" stage last? It can be annoying at times. I have to be in a quiet room to get her to eat...if I'm out watching a good TV show, she wants to watch too!!

Yeah, smart, alert babies keep this up and usually start at 4 months. It's usually a stage that lasts. Try taking the opportunity to rest in bed doing the side lying position or get a nursing necklace to help keep her busy.
