Ok my baby just had his 4 month check up. Even though it was 11 days before he turned 5 months. But anyways. He was born at 6lbs 11oz and dropped down to 6lbs 4oz. at his 2 month check up he was 12lbs 6oz and at his 4 month check up he was 14lbs 5oz Which is 1oz away from 2lbs in 2 months. The doctor said that he didn't gain as much as he should have. I personaly think that his weight gain is good. Do you think that he should have gained more weight or did he do just fine with his weight gain?

Generally babies should gain back birth weigt by 2 weeks, double by 2 months and gain at least 5oz a week until 4 months...so you are right on target. Now you are looking for at least 4oz a week gain.
Did you know, growth charts are based on formulsa fed babies who tend to gain more weight.

That is what i figured. I just wanted to be sure that he was doing ok. I was starting to doubt myself for a bit. I had to relactae when he was 3 weeks old and have ever since been struggling with my supply. I only give him about 8 to 6oz a day of formula. I am trying to pump those bottles so he don't get any formula it is just a little hard sometimes with 3 kids and my oldest being 3yrs old. Thank you for the help.
