OK..so bear with me here please. My chart is up to date, so please have a look for a visual:

http://forums.ovusoft.com/chart.asp?id=O%2EB%2E+Nurse

Gave birth on 2/28/08[cycle 22 started]
Bled for about a month straight...almost until 4/1. Stopped bleeding/spotting at this point for a little over a week or so.
Then I started with spotting again for a about a week and a half...from 4/14-4/27. [CD 47]

Started mini pill on 4/28[CD 61]...then started with about a week of "fake hormone induced" AF on 5/4[CD 67].

That stopped for about 4-5days and then I started AGAIN with more spotting or a "light AF" for another 4-5 days...[this is when I started a new cycle on my chart-5/17...cycle 23].

Had spotting start again on 6/19...cycle 23 now...CD 34...only noticied it once while grocery shopping. Thought it was another "pill" AF, but it stopped....HPT neg two days later. No spotting since.

So...my question boils down to:

I was looking at Cycle 22..the cycle I gave birth, and I have read that any bleeding AFTER day 56 of giving birth would be considered a "period". And, that last bout of spotting/bleeding I had before I started the mini pill was BEFORE "day 56" but AFTER I had already stopped bleeding for about a week...[I was 7 weeks PP when this started again...seems pretty EARLY to me to start having AF again]

And, If I look at what "dates" the spotting episodes occured, my cycles would be:

4/14-5/17 [32 days]
5/17-6-19 [34 days]

Both of which are my average cycle lengths for me pre preg.

Should I start a new "chart"/"cycle" for 4/14 or leave it as is? Im just not so sure if it was AF or not...maybe it was just a coincidence in the timing and how long the cycles were but the way the cycle lengths are panning out, its making me think it could have been AF[shr].

Is it true that any bleeding up until 56 days AFTER you give birth is not counted as AF and still count as PP bleeding? If thats the case, then I wouldnt be able to count that as AF then right?

Sorry this is so long! Just trying to figure out whats going on and if I start a new cycle on 4/14..it all looks so "right", but Im not sure thats the "right" thing to do?

Thanks for listening..any help I would appreciate it[f]

Ok, I didn't read the whole thing because I have a DD who is "helping", but I got as far and the minipill induced AF....from experience I can say that the minipill won't make you have a period if your body isn't planning one.

I gave birth 7/27/07 and bled for about 2 weeks then stopped for about a week and then started bleeding again. My doc said that it was my period and he was right! How I envy those mamas who are bfing and dont have a period! :)

BFing will affect a regular period from showing up and the mini pill just makes everything even worse with constant breakthrough bleeding for some.

Really, unless your comfortable with the constant paranoia that comes with a missing period that is completely normal with BFing, I simply invested in some cheap pregnancy tests and peed constantly to reassure myself!

Even now, I sit here with an IUD intact, wondering why I am so bloated and experiencing pregnancy symptoms.???

I recommend www.saveontests.com

Good luck:)

Thanks for the info! I really hate being on the mini pill b/c I would really like to know if I am getting PPAF or not and with being on the mini pill its so hard to know for sure I think.

I just posted another question a little while ago about the mini pill and breakthough bleeding b/c I forgot to take a pill the other night[wed] and started spotting yest and now today its like almost a full blown period...Im not sure if its from missing that 1 pill or if its my period. I made up the pills and am now back on track.

I had a c-section with my daughter on 2/8 and bled for 11 weeks straight. It had slacked off and then started really heavy again with bad cramping at 4 weeks and my doctor said it was my period. She was wrong. It started slacking off again and then got heavy at 10 weeks (right after I started the minipill to help control bleeding) and I passed part of the placenta. I'm getting a new doctor.
