My daughter is 2 weeks old, and she is breastfeeding great, however she feeds better on my right side. She seems really rough with the left side. I'm not sure if my letdown is stronger on that side or what, but my nipple hurts every time I feed her on that side. It almost feels like it's getting ready to crack. I've been using lansinoh cream and trying to make sure she's attached right, but she's constantly pulling back on it while she feeds. Any suggestions how I can help make this better?

Be sure to check her latch on that side, and double check her position. sometimes because of which hand we prefer, or baby's preferred hand, we place baby too high up or too low down get her lined up with nose in line with nipple. You may also have a higher supply on that side and she's clamping down to slow the flow. Once you feel let down on that side, you can pull her off and see if there is a forceful spray, and if so, let that go into a towel and then latch her back on. It could be that it has a slower flow and she's trying to "pump it" to get the flow going. Just keep repositioning her.
someone has a whole bunch of links on what to do for sore nipples. I recommend changing your nursing position so she's putting pressure on a different part of the nipple each time , nursing on one side per feeding and letting the off side rest, warm water or warm water with salt added soaks, lanisoh.
