Iron? do i need to give vitamins?

Do I really need to worry about making sure my baby has vitamins with iron? He's eating cereal now but I'm thinking of quitting 'cause its gross...my mom is very worried he won't be getting enough iron. right now he just gets plain vitamins (tri vi sol) with no iron. i'm thinking of doing avocado next which does contain iron. does anyone know how much they are supposed to be getting? do i even need to be concerned about this? he's a little over 6 months. sorry this is a really choppy post.

Your baby doesn't need any vits - most probably :). Read through this link to see if your baby is one of the few who should receive anything:
