my dd has decided that she doesn't care to nurse off the left breast. Is this normal? She always nursed fine off of both before but recently (about a month) decided that she'd rather just nurse from the right breast. Is there anything I can do to get her back on track so I can quit pumping my left breast all the time? I'm just confused cause my oldest daughter never did this. Any thoughts?

That happened to a friend of mine. It turned out her DS had a preference for turning his body to a certain side. So, she did cross-cradle hold on one breast, and football hold on the other breast. This way, he could always lie on the same side of his body. Hope this helps.

my little one went through this and still does it. he was once a righty then he became a lefty. so i used to do the football hold so he's nurse out of the other one or lay down and let him nurse that way. that helps.
also if she falls asleep but isn't quite done nursing switch her. see if she'll at least eat some off that one.

Will she eat off of the left one first when she is the hungriest? Ds did the same thing so I offered his least favorite one first. Now he is a 2 boob man :p
