Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone has ever felt a shooting pain in their breast. Previously, I felt this shooting pain in the back of my right breast (near my armpit) Today I've felt it a few times. I don't have anything crusty on my nipple, so I don't know what it could be. I don't think its thrush. Help!!

Yes, I have felt this and it was not thrush. It was when I was too full or when my breasts were filling between feeds.
However, it could be the beginning of yeast even if your nipple is not crusty/white.
You may find these links helpful in determining what is going on or atleast in ruling yeast in or out.

It could also possibly be a plugged duct.

Ooooh yes. Good thought. I have had this too. For me it was a constant, drawing pain. In fact, the worse pain I ever felt (in terms of nursing).

I think my right breast was too full, because I no longer feel it, but thanks for the advice!!
