ok... So I know this is not a medical website but you ladies are smart... SO I was wondering if any of you have ever had itchy lips/tongue? I know that sounds weird but it started saturday (after eating salty mcD's fries) and has continued to come back occasionally. If I itch my lips my tongue starts to itch. I looked some stuff up on google and it may be thrush or hay fever?? or a food allergy. Anyone else ever have this? Any ideas? Please help! I am weirded out by it

I have many severe food allergies (I wasn't breastfed) and some foods give me an itchy tongue. Try taking benadryl and see if it goes away. Then try to figure out what you're allergic too. It can be something you've eaten a million times before but now you're allergic to it. It could also be makeup, lotion, sunblock, face soap, etc...

Benadryl makes me very sleepy so I wouldn't take it if I was going to co-sleep, drive or even just be alone all night with a baby. But that's just me.

Sounds like a food allergy to me. That's how I start reacting with bananas, actually, and then it goes to my throat and eventually my throat closes, making swallowing impossible and breathing difficult.

I do that with bananas too...not the throat closing part...just the itching.

My mom has that too. She also has to stay away from latex as they are related.
