I haven't been around this past week because I had some major dental stuff done I had 4 very bad off jaw teeth 1 wisdom tooth & 1 molar on the bottom right side and 1 molar on the top right, & 1 molar on the bottom left.

(TMI)
The teeth was soft & breaking & very tight together so they had to drill, grind, & scrape them out then they had to scrape the bone some & OMG after for a week was worse than labor... They had me on pain meds that made me very sleepy but didn't kick the pain, my jaw & neck are stiff it took over 3 hrs to get the teeth out. I was bruised & puffy & cried a couple times after like a baby. Motrin helped more with the pain than the Kick but stuff I'm doing a bit better not as sore or stiff But that was how my 4th went. LOL

I had the teeth removed on the 2nd, NEVER again do I want to face that.

I have an enamel defect & gastro. problems that lead me down this road so I'm sure I'll head back down it in time.

I wasn't knocked out for the removal either I wish they could have knocked me out for a week LOL I'm still in shock as to how bad it hurt!

I'm still not 100% I'm wondering if anyone else has had a major tooth removal & how long did it take you to feel back to yourself?

Aw... I hope you get to feeling better! I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed when I was 15 because they were causing problems. The wisdom teeth had not come through yet so they put my under GA and then went in and broke each tooth with a hammer and then picked the little pieces out and scraped the rest out. I was in hell. I was super swollen and was on super heavy pain meds. I think I was in bed for a week and then it took another 2 or 3 weeks for me to really feel good. I hope you get to feeling better soon!

Yeah I said I think they should ban all food commercials too!! I swear I have never seen so many in all my life as this past week! That or I'm really hungry for real food LMAO

Another pointer if you are trying to distract yourself after oral surgery DO NOT watch a comedy flick at all that will induce great pain!!

First let me say I am so sorry and I hope you feel better soon.
I had my top two wisdom teeth taken out but like Madisonsmommy they were not in at all and they did not put me under. It hurt worse then having all 3 of my kids. I was in alot of pain for weeks. now my bottom two are still not in and thank god not causing me pain.
after I had Kayden my back tooth needed a root canal I couldnt afford it at the time and was in so much pain and they said my insurance would not cover it but would cover it to be pulled. well I got it pulled and was not put under it hurt so bad never again. if I ever have to have anymore work done to my teeth I will pay to be put under.
I really do hope you feel better soon. your post made me think of what happened to me. oh yeah and the dentist told me my back tooth was bad because I chewed ice through the whole pregnancy with Kayden it took all my enamel.

That sucks, I am sorry. I had a molar removed yesterday and he had to scrape the bone down as well. Course it was onlye ONE tooth. I have had all of my wisdom teeth removed before though and two were impacted.
