If I have 69 kids and 3 of them have purple hair, how do I figure out what the percentage is?

I need the answer and directions how to get the answer. I'm math dumb.

Divide 3 by 69 and multiply by 100, which gives you 4.3 percent of the children having purple hair.

you can also just divide 3 by 69 and move the decimal over two times and that's your answer.
