Hi! First, I want to welcome you to the board. (I'm assuming you are new.) Feel free to tell us about yourself. :)
I do want to let you know that your user name is going to drive me nuts, though, because we already have a poster named Bellaelle. I will be totally confused!
If you decide that you want to change your name so that it isn't so similar to another poster's, you can PM Sassafras. :)
Again, welcome!

Ugh, I about cried myself into oblivian, and then I make the classic mistake of going to see my Mom over the holiday weekend and forget my medella pump, and Im not gonna go and drop that cash again for a second pump, since we are now eight hours away from home, I go and get a hand held pump, and it was uncomfortable for me, and it didn't really work. So now I am home and Im barely getting an half an oz out of each breast now. I just wanted to cry all over again. I am trying to figure out how to get it back up to three oz:(

Judy why don't you ask all the mommy names to change theirs whie we're at it? I mean now that is confusing trying to keep them all straight, yet we seem to manage.
How do we ever manage IRL dealing with people that have the same name or similar. I mean you know I'd hate to think that by name being Amy and knowing that it was the most over used girls name of the 70's (Blame Jimmy Carter) how many people I've confused. Maybe I should change it.
Or maybe people should just pay closer attention. Bellaelle and Ellabella, sounds like two different people to me.
BTW, before I totally forget my manners.... Welcome Ellabella. :)
In other words I find it rude to suggest someone change their name b/c it's similar.

Well, perhaps I should even though I didn't actually do so here. I was letting her know how similar her name is to another poster's and how she can change it if she wants to do so. If I started posting on a new board, I'd appreciate being told that my name was so similar to another poster's so that I could change mine before I had much history behind me.

IME, in close circles (in class, in work situations, etc.), people often go by different names. I've known of Deborahs going by Deb. I've known of others using middle names, etc. When I had two kids in class with the same name, one told me that he wanted to go by a nickname so that they wouldn't be confused.
Or maybe people should just pay closer attention. Bellaelle and Ellabella, sounds like two different people to me.
Yay, you.

First, Welcome!
Second, don't stress about how much you are getting at the pump, that will indeed make it worse. In order to get your stash supply up again you need to nurse then pump. Do that every time you nurse and you'll increase production. Also you can eat oatmeal to help boost your supply.

Check out the Supplementing Support Group. There are some great tips there.

Thank you for the tips, honestly this might seem a little weird, but Ella is a lazy sucker, and wasn't drawing hard enough on me ..sooo I had my honey help me out a bit, and that is how I got up to three oz when I was pumping before the trip. I hope eventually I will pump enough that I won't need to supplement anything. But for now I make sure she is fed and happy, cuz when it comes down to it, my pride is all that is hurt, and in my mind she is still getting some BM which means she is getting the goodness of it :)

Hey do what you gotta do! Lol I actually asked my hubby if he would help me out in that area, but he said BM was gross to him. Ds had a weak suckle too,so he got most of his bm via bottle.

LOL, yeah it works.....Just have to convince him to restart it with me again. Unfortunatly this all started because Ella didn't have a BM for about three days after I came home from the hospital, I think my Pedia/Doc is a lil hypersensitive. The first time I was there, they weighed her with a wet diaper, next time weighed her naked, and then chastized me about the weight loss. Ofcourse while I was there, I was shocked at the weighloss and didn't think about the wet diaper the last time. And all cuz she didn't poop after I got her home. blah

You're doing great! Don't let your pride hurt. Your baby is getting the very best that you can give her. Thank you Judy, its nice to hear that I am doing something right, since everyone seems to tell you that you are doing it wrong, and should do it their way....omg its so confusing, I had one LC come in, tell me one way of doing it, then the next one comes in said she was wrong and her way was correct. I just wanted to tell them seriously, nobody is better than the other, I just have to find my own way.

JudyJudyJudy, I have problems keeping some posters straight because their names are similar, too.
One thing I found that works for me, is actually taking the time to read the OP's name.
