How long can formula stay out after I mix it? I didn't remember to ask.

TIA

I would refrigerate it immediately. It is good in the refrigerator for 24 hours I think.

Well she is trying to wean her from the breast so I am taking her for the day to try 5 different bottles. So far i've tried 2 bottles she doesn't want them. I just waswondering when I had to throw out the formula.

It depends on how long it has been sitting out between changing bottles I suppose. I wouldn't use it after probably an hour, but it has so many preservtives that it might be okay for longer.

They say 2 hours out, but only one hour if it has been drank (drunk?) from.

I only ever leave mixed formula unrefrigerated for 1 hour, then it goes down the drain.

Its only good for one hour if the baby has already drank from it.

I'm not sure about powder formula but when ds drinks formula, the formula in the bottle can stay out for 2 hours. if you put it in the fridge, it's good for only 48 hours and the use it or lose it lol

Shouldn't she find someone who doesn't smell of breastmilk to do this for her? He might not be taking the bottles because he knows that you are hiding the "goods" from him.
