I just got a call from Jason Washington informing me that I've just won 7.5 million dollars in the Publishers Clearing House sweepstakes this month and he bets I'm sooo happy to hear this. All I need to do is wire a few grand to him in order to to cover the costs of sending such a large amount of money.

Oh and his accent was so heavy, I could barely understand him. I told him to donate my money to a children's charity unless he can bring his happy ass to my front door with the PCH van, a large cardboard check, balloons, and a camera crew.

Oh and I didn't enter no farkin' PHC sweepstakes and you might want to at least know my name if you're going to say I won. Egads, I can't believe they ever get people to fall for that crap.

unfortunately people fall for this stuff all to often. A few years ago at work I had a lady wire a few grand to some guy because she won something. I had to contact the fraud department and stop the wire. Then a month later she came back. I refused to send the money and then contacted the fraud department again and had her name flagged for follow up on any more wire transfers. She was in her 80's and could really use the extra money. She took the money from her retirement fund to wire it to this guy. I was very upset for her. I hate that these fruadulators are able to scam those who are so vulnerable.

That is so sad. Come to think of it, I have heard about different instances of the elderly getting scammed over the phone. Hmm, There was an elderly couple that lived here for about 10 years before we moved in and we still get some of their junk mail. I bet the Jamaican scammers were after them.
