So DH and I are in severe need of a night away from the kids to reconnect. I still breastfeed Abby in the evenings. Would this affect her too much leaving her? 1 night only? I don't pump anymore. She won't take breastmilk from a bottle. She will go to sleep without nursing as long as I am not around.
What do you think? She is 20 months old.

If she will go to bed fine without nursing and its just for one night away I'd go take that time with hubby and relax and have a good time.

Yes she would stay with MIL. MIL also takes care of her during the day so it won't be a total shock to her system, KWIM? I am afraid I won't be able to do it, LOL but DH and I really need this. At this point, our marriage is counting on it.

I think she would be fine. You said she will go to sleep without nursing and it's just for one night. Go and have some fun with your hubby! It sounds like you need it. I could use a night (or 2) away myself.

If you are ready, go for it. It sounds like she would be just fine. I would hang out close by, just in case things went downhill, but that is just me.

I agree that she would be fine. You mentioned that she will fall asleep without nursing if you're not around and she's used to MIL. I can't think of any reason not to do it.

In this case I'd say Hell Ya! Go!! Enjoy yourself!!! She already knows MIL well enough to feel comfortable and secure so as kohlby said I can't think of any reason why not!!
I think you'll find that things will go very smoothly and both of you (probably more her than you) will be just fine!! :)
IMO nurturing your marriage is just as important as nurturing your children.
