I know a mom with preemie twins. What books would you suggest that she read? What avdice would you give?

I highly recommend Baby Wise. It has given me my sanity! My twins are now almost 9 months and I get comments like, "Are they always this happy?" and "My gosh, they are so content." all the time. I think it has a lot to do with Baby Wise. LOVE IT!

I highly discourage reading Babywise. Yuck.

Babywise has lead to failure to thrive and is not recommended anymore.

Rieckah - I recommend finding a Mother of Twins club in the area for her. There is a high concentration of women in those clubs who have gone through exactly what she is. There is a Mothering Multiples book put out by LLL that addresses elements of prematurity. The book I also liked is "When You're Expecting Twins, Triplets, or Quads" - it was an excellent book when I was pregnant with twins, and has an extremely comprehensive section on prematurity, the NICU, and possible conditions and treatments. The position of the book was giving moms information, and was clear that not all twins will be premature and that not all premature children will have these sorts of complications, but that they might.

I just picked that book the other day "When You're Expecting Twins, Triplets, or Quads"!! I found it a used book store. I'll have to lend it to her. Thanks so much!!
