my doctor told me to take it for my tummy cramping and heartburn and nausea symptoms and said to call him in a week or two after I have been using it.

Rated L2. So it's fine to take. Hale says "virtually all omeprazole (Prilosec) ingested via milk would probably be destroyed in teh stomach of the infant prior to absorption". It has a short half life (1 hour) and the medication maxes between 1/2 to 3.5 hours. If you want to be extra careful, nurse first then take the meds.

Babies are put on prilosec frequently, if that gives you peace of mind.

BTW, how are you, rather, your gut? Did you decide to procede with the endoscopy/colonoscopy?

a colonoscopy has not been mentioned by my doctor yet. that was just me being paranoid and thinking it would be. the prilosec is helping a lot so far. no more tummy cramps and no more heart burn and no more nausea.

I am still having hot flashes and dizzy spells though. maybe I am starting menopause lol
