Has anyone noticed an improvement in their psychological state of mind after they started breastfeeding?

I use to have a very negative point of view when it came to me, my appearance, and almost everything I did. Now, I don't know if it my little boy or breastfeeding, or both but my mental state is much better then what it was before I had DS. I will admit I still get down and there are lots of things I want to change, but I notice that I am feeling great more often. My family says that I am much more pleasant to be around too.

I do noticed that I am always happy when I am home. Not that I was miserable before but if something got me down I didn't smile and I'd just lounge around the house. Now that I have DD I have a smile on my face all the time! Just something about her makes me happy.

DH and I were talking about this the other day. We've been struggling, he's been out of work for 2yrs and he's making a career change, things have been hard financially. But we we're talking about how much less happy we would be if DD wasn't here to give us a reason to be happy. Children are such a blessing!! And I look forward to every moment I have to nurse her.

I don't like the extra fat I'm carrying because of the nursing and my huge boobs but I look at her and I am just always happy!!

Yes I did notice that and I noticed a big dip in my mood as DS weaned.
