Was it here or Kelly Mom that I saw the article about when and what teeth appear. I'm looking for it and I can't find it anywhere. My son has had 4 top and 4 bottom teeth for 6 months. When do the molars start coming? The first round was awful. I'm not looking foward to molars at all. We are in the process of weaning from the breast as well. He's a year in 2 weeks.

There are 1 year and 2 year molars but that doesn't mean that is when they come in exactly. My DS is 21 months and working on his 2 year molars but he's gotten all of his teeth quickly. I've known some kids who were close to 3 and didn't have all their teeth.
Not sure the article you speak of I am sure someone else will know.
And just so you know, nursing really makes getting those molars out feel a lot less painful for the LOs.
We also use Hylands teething tablets at night to help him sleep better.

The average isn't necessarily the norm;-) My 17 month old has her two front teeth, top and bottom, one random and then her molars came in! She has a total of seven teeth and is way behind the national average:)
I am so glad we are still nursing as the molars were really irritating her gums and she went on a solids strike for a few days, poor little thing!
Do you mind if I ask why you are weaning?

It varies by a lot. My DS had his first two teeth by 4 months, DD was 8 months, and a friend's twins were 18 months! My DS had both his one year and two year molars in by 18 months. DD turned 2 in March and still doesn't have her two year molars.
