Do you ever wake a sleeping baby?

It's 11:00, I am supposed to meet my boss at 12:00 to interview a teacher for next year and DD is still asleep. She normally takes 13 minute naps but she has been out since 9:00. I really want to wake her up but hate doing it.

I'll wake ds but only if it can't be avoided and at the very VERY last minute.

ETA: It is hard for me to wake him because it is HELL to get him to take a nap to begin with so to undo all my hard work?? It's a challenge!

I wake my sleeping babies all the time :) Always have, either to maintain a schedule (for instance I don't let my kids nap later than 5 or they won't go to bed easy), or for feedings and such, though once they're past the early newborn stage I don't bother as much. 2 hours is a good nap, I wouldn't have any qualms about waking her.

DD gets woken lots more than DS ever did. But if she falls asleep while we're getting ready to leave - She may wake when I move her to the carseat. And she may wake when I take her out of the carseat and put her back in and walk around wal mart... etc etc.

Only when I have to. Second baby definitely gets woken more than #1 did.

I only wake sleeping babies if they are newborns and *need* to eat. Otherwise you couldn't pay me.

I only woke mine until she was nursing well enough and was a few weeks old. Then I let her sleep as long as she wanted at night. Now that I have her actually taking naps on a schedule, I try to wake her after 2-3 hours of a nap, so she won't go down too hard at night for her sleep.

If I had an appt that i needed to get to, i would wake her at the latest moment I could, to nurse her before I left.

If I need to go somewhere, yes I'll wake them up. With the little ones I will try to be really gentle so they might not wake up.

If we had somewhere to be, I did wake my babies. While we did have a loose routine, we didn't have schedules, our kids all were pretty flexible.
