I got my carpets cleaned today. They are soaked. I have fans running, the ac cranked and a dehumidifier running. Anything else I can do to help them dry? It is too humid to open the windows.

sounds like the way to go. Stick with the AC on etc if it is humid outside.

I wouldn't use that service again. Carpets shouldn't be soaked after a cleaning. I just had my carpets cleaned a couple weeks ago and they were bone dry in 2 hours. When the guys finished, the carpets were just damp to the touch.

I agree, sounds like a bad company. When I cleaned my carpets a few months ago, they were dry in two hours.
Just keep what you are doing, and be patient

Personally I would call the company and complain. Maybe they can get someone out to vacuum out more of the water for you (AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE).

It is the management company where I rent. They have a truck and do it themselves. There are wet and dry spots. Plus of course it rained.

truck mounted cleaning/extraction equipment NEVER gets enough water out. If you call a service and they are truck mounted don't use them. You want them to have a portable unit. There is such a long line of hose the suction gets lost.

Hope the rugs are dry soon!
